Residents Engaging with Arts, Culture and Heritage
Wales REACH explores the stories, histories and heritage of Welsh communities through the creative arts.
REACH helps people from five Welsh communities to connect with the history and heritage that matters to them through art and creativity.
It will share the art that participants make and the stories they tell with the wider world. This will show a side of Welsh history and heritage that people don’t usually see.
REACH is about exploring the rich variety of what it means to be Welsh.
Wales REACH is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to explore the stories and histories of Welsh communities through the creative arts.

Using money raised by National Lottery players we support projects that connect people and communities to heritage. Our vision is for heritage to be valued, cared for and sustained for everyone, now and in the future. From historic buildings, our industrial legacy and the natural environment, to collections, traditions, stories and more.
Heritage can be anything from the past that people value and want to pass on to future generations. We believe in the power of heritage to ignite the imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and to build pride in place and connection to the past.
Activities
REACH uses heritage and creativity workshops to bring people together. They are about learning new skills and making new friendships. In workshops we hear unheard stories to inspire pride, as well as using the talents of local people to challenge the stigmas that their communities face.
