Museum in a Bag

What would you put in a museum about your life?

People from across Pembrokeshire explored museum objects before thinking about their own histories, identities and what home means to them.

Each person then created a ‘Museum in a Bag’, filling and decorating a paper bag with photographs, artwork, memories and personal treasures. Each became a small museum of its maker – created and curated by them.

Some people had lived in Pembrokeshire all their lives. Others had moved away and returned or made the area their home more recently. Together, more than 40 bags tell many different stories of people, places, journeys and belonging.
