Iron Age Inspiration

People visited Caer Heritage Centre in Cardiff to explore the ancient history of Caerau Hillfort and discover how people lived thousands of years ago.

Inspired by archaeological finds, they tried replica clothing and created their own pinch pots by hand. Some used Bronze and Iron Age designs, while others added their own modern ideas.

The group also created a shared pot, with everyone contributing to its decoration. Through making together, they discovered connections between past and present – including something that hasn’t changed much at all: people have always enjoyed gathering to share food, stories and time together.
